GRUNDY CENTER — For three quarters Friday night, Grundy Center and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows remained even on the scoreboard. The final period decided the Spartans’ homecoming game.

The Cowboys scored 20 unanswered fourth-quarter points to break a 21-21 tie and defeat Grundy Center 41-21 on Sept. 25, ending the Spartans’ three-game winning streak.
