Timothy Wrage

Timothy Lee Wrage, 69, of Grundy Center passed away on November 6, 2020. Tim was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in mid September; he was in the beginning stages of battling cancer, when he contracted Covid 19 in the last week of October.
 
Tim was born December 17, 1950 to Betty and Wayne Wrage, Sr. He was the 3rd of 4 children. He attended Grundy Center High School, participating in wrestling and football; graduating in the spring of 1969. After graduating high school, Tim went to a diesel mechanic school in Omaha, Nebraska. On August 3, 1973, Tim married high school sweetheart, Jan Stephenson. Together, they had three children; Megan, Nolan and Heather. He worked in the mechanic field until 1982 when he took a job with the Grundy Center Community schools. He worked proudly for the district for 28 years, retiring in 2010. After retiring, Tim kept busy doing various carpentry, woodworking and repair jobs. He was an avid fan of golf, bowling, the Packers and Casey’s coffee. He spent much of his free time with friends and family on the links or lanes.
 
He was preceded in death by his mother and father Betty and Wayne Wrage, Sr, as well as his youngest daughter Heather (Wrage) Mitchell. He is survived by his wife Jan of Grundy Center, his children and grandchildren; Dr. Megan Reed (Gabe and Trinity) of Lone Tree, Iowa and Nolan Wrage and Jessica Wrage (Harriet and Dale) of Marion, Iowa and Andrew Mitchell (son of Heather) of Guttenburg, Iowa. Also left to miss him are his siblings; Wayne Wrage, Jr (Doris) of Grundy Center, Kathy Ross (Ronn) of Grundy Center, and Valorie Kruse (Dr. Mark) of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
As per Tim’s wishes, there will be no memorial service ; but please remember him on your next round of golf or game of bowling. Memorials may be directed to his family.
