Supervisors receive road, courthouse updates

The Grundy County Board of Supervisors got word on some recent road projects as well as an update on the courthouse from custodian Mark Jungling during Tuesday morning’s regular meeting.

County Engineer Gary Mauer reported that the T55 road paving project will continue this year but likely won’t finish, and Jungling said that the circulating pump for the boiler at the courthouse is leaking and added that in the aftermath of the major trial in Grundy County last week, he noticed that three or four floor tiles were sagging in the courtroom. Jungling also inquired about plans for a garage and hoped for something like a 20x20’ structure in the $10,000 price range.

After a brief discussion, the board voted unanimously to approve a change order for a transaction window at the new annex building.
