GRUNDY CENTER - Downtown Grundy Center will be a rockin’ and rollin’ spot this summer, with live music, car shows, flea markets, food vendors and more at the clock tower square once a month throughout the summer.

The Rock around the Clock Tower car cruise and concert series, presented by the Grundy Center Chamber-Main Street, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month from June through September.

Visitors are invited to come out and enjoy live music performed by local bands, admire classic cars from collectors around the area, shop from local vendors at the flea market and grab a bite to eat from the various food vendors. There will also be activities for the youngsters, including Touch a Truck, pace painting, story time, chalk art, bubbles and more.

Grundy Center Chamber-Main Street Director Lisa Bienfang says the first Rock around the Clock Tower event last September was such a success, they decided to do it again this summer - only bigger and better.

“Rock Around the Clock Tower offers local residents the opportunity to come downtown for a fun and family-friendly event, see classic cars, enjoy live music, participate in free kids activities, and taste new foods,” she said.
