Rebels drop opener to Union

GLADBROOK – A solid defensive effort could not make up for a lack of yardage and too many turnovers on offense for Gladbrook-Reinbeck Friday night, as the Rebels fell 25-7 to Union in their season opener.
“We played good defense holding them to 130 yards of offense, but struggled with turnovers and not being able to get any big plays on offense,” Gladbrook-Reinbeck head coach John Olson said. “The turnovers resulted in two long returns and a very short offensive field for Union.”
