With the generous support of the community, Operation Threshold of Grundy County had one of their most successful Back to School Supply Drives yet, gathering enough funds and supplies to provide more than 80 local students with everything they need for the new school year.

“It was amazing, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the community,” said Jodi Rowe, Grundy County Operation Threshold Coordinator. “We really depend on the community for donations and supplies and they came through. With their support, we were able to help so many kids.”

Collection started on August 8th, and ended last week. During that time, the organization received countless individual donations, including two individuals who each donated $200, along with several local businesses and organizations who donated.

Lincoln Savings Bank in Reinbeck donated $200, the Orchard Hill Church in Grundy Center donated around $150 worth of school supplies and the Grundy County Memorial Hospital donated 15 backpacks filled with supplies for the drive.
