Marvin Miller

Marvin "Marv" Miller, 84 of Conrad, passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12 at New Hope Christian Church in Marshalltown. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 11 at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown. Interment will be at Vienna Cemetery in rural Beaman. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. Online condolences may be sent to www.andersonfhs.com.

Marv was born April 1, 1937 to Perry and Helen (Brooks) Miller in Brooklyn, Iowa. He graduated from Beaman High School in 1954. Marv was united in marriage to Sharon Miller on December 26, 1958 in Marshalltown. He farmed in rural Marshall County his entire life. He worked hard so that he could play hard. In Marv's early years he was a member of 4-H and Jaycees. He was a big supporter of Case IH. In Marv's eyes, tractors had to be red. Marv loved spending time with friends and family in Arizona and the Lake of the Ozarks. Whether it was a car or a boat, Marv loved them fast.

Marv will be missed by his wife of 62 years, Sharon, two daughters; Shaurice Moorman of Andover, Minnesota, Kim (David) Schoel of Gladbrook, Iowa, a son, Chad (Diane) Miller of Conrad, four grandchildren; Brooks (Jillissa) Moorman, Brittany (Scott) Johnson, Abby (Ethan) Charlie, Mitch (Jayde) Miller, four great grandchildren; Kayla, Kolson, Karder, Kensley, a sister, Janice Martin of Conrad, and many friends in Iowa, Arizona, and The Lake of the Ozarks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters; Marilyn Hasselman, Donna Arends, Joan Koch, two brothers; Max and Marion Miller.
