Local attorney, Heronimus, loses battle with cancer

    GRUNDY CENTER — Local attorney and community leader T.J. Heronimus lost his battle with cancer last week, passing away at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital Thursday.
    A Holland native, Heronimus graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1955, the University of Iowa in 1959 and Drake University Law School in 1962. He began his law practice with Don Kliebenstein in 1964 and continued in practice with the firm, now known as Heronimus, Schmidt and Allen, until his death.
    Heromimus’ partners at the law firm said their friend and co-worker will be greatly missed.
    “He was a great friend to many of his clients and a great asset to our law firm,” Kirby Schmidt said. “It will be impossible to fill his shoes, but our law firm will find a way to continue to serve his clients.”
