Larry Prosser

CORYDON — Larry Ronald Prosser, 88, of Corydon, passed away peacefully at home Oct. 28, 2023 due to complications of pulmonary fibrosis.

A funeral service was Nov. 2 at the Corydon United Methodist Church in Corydon. Interment was at Corydon Cemetery.

Larry Ronald Prosser was born Nov. 28, 1934, to Robert and Mary Prosser in Eldora. He was the older brother to Phillip Prosser and Diane Heim. He grew up on the family farm taking care of row crops and livestock. From there he had many jobs and adventures throughout his life. He was a fitness freak, running marathons in his 50’s through 80 years of age and other races he could train and compete in.

Larry also became very passionate about aviation. He learned how to fly and build planes … always the mechanic and tool designer. In between all this Larry became an ordained minister for the United Methodist Church.

Larry is survived by his wife, Sherrel A. Prosser of Corydon; brother Phillip (Mary) Prosser of Eldora and sister Diane (Phil) Heim of Louisburg, Kan.; and children Victoria (Randy), Deborah (Scott), Gail (John), Clark (Sharon), Blake (Ashley); stepchildren: Mark (Angie) and Shelly (Dale). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He joined three of his children in heaven: Steve, Nancy and John.
