Highway 14 north of GC set to close until October

Another detour is in store for motorists, as the Iowa DOT announced a portion of Highway 14 north of Grundy Center will be closed for a culvert replacement beginning August 26th. Construction is expected to last through October 18th.

The news comes just as the DOT announced in late July that Highway 14 toward Marshalltown will be closed from the intersection of Highway 175 all the way to the Highway 96 turnoff in northern Marshall County as crews work on repairs.

At the same time, Highway 175 west between Grundy Center and Eldora is still restricted to one lane traffic in certain sections as crews work to resurface that stretch of the Highway.

But, some good news was announced last week: Highway 175 east between Grundy Center and Morrison has reopened after being closed since April 1 for a bridge replacement project.
