Down it goes: Council votes to demolish former Baptist Church

GRUNDY CENTER – After over a year of contemplation, and countless hours of discussion, the long saga of the former First Baptist Church has finally come to an end.
At Monday night’s meeting, the Grundy Center City Council voted unanimously to deconstruct and demolish the former Baptist Church, located at 801 7th St.
