Sandra Oulman

On Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, Sandra Oulman, of Lakeland, Florida passed away peacefully at home.

Sandra was born in Eldora on January 18, 1945 to Harold and Mildred Wilson. She met the love of her life, James Oulman, while in high school. They would have celebrated 59 years of marriage on December 23.

Prior to retirement, Sandra was a Bookkeeper/Title Clerk for Eddie Anderson Motors in Lakeland, Florida.

Her children and grandchildren were the lights of her life. She adored them. She welcomed her first great-grandchild on August 4, 2021. She was able to meet Bridger and we are so thankful.

Sandra was the most unselfish and caring person that we have been blessed to share a lifetime with. No matter the circumstances, she would always be there, loving and supportive and offering nothing but empathy and understanding. She was, and always will be, a solid rock and positive influence in all the lives that she touched. The world has lost one of the greatest souls that God ever created and she will never be forgotten.

Our family would like to thank all the wonderful caretakers at Cornerstone Hospice, Lakeland, Florida, who provided excellent care and kindness to our mom in her final year and a half. We also want to thank our dad, James Oulman, who honored his vows, “in sickness and in health, till death do us part”. He has been by her side and has lovingly cared for her.

Those left to cherish her memories include: her husband, James Oulman of Lakeland, Florida; her daughter’s Tamra Derrick and her husband Jason of Grundy Center; Heidi Smith and her husband Scott of Webster, Florida; Staci Painter and her husband John of Lakeland, Florida; her son Lance Oulman of Fruitland Park, Florida; her grandchildren, Derek Weis of Independence, Iowa, Joshua Weis of Grundy Center, Megan Hurst of Lakeland, Florida, Sarah Oulman of Lakeland, Florida, Luke Anderson of Lakeland, Florida, Emily Lockman of Jacksonville, Florida, Danielle Anderson of Lakeland, Florida and great grandson, Bridger Anderson of Lakeland, Florida. She also leaves behind her brother, Everett Wilson of Grundy Center and Kay Zegarac-Martin of Tempe, Arizona, many dear and treasured life-long friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Mildred Wilson.

She will be cremated at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home in Lakeland, Florida.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
