Mark J. Pohlmann

GRUNDY CENTER - Mark John Pohlmann passed away on March 6, 2026, at Grundy County Memorial Hospital. 

There will be a celebration of life at Scotty's Saloon on G Avenue in Grundy Center from 3 p.m. until close on Saturday, March 14.  

Mark was born Nov. 8, 1959 in Vinton. He worked many years as an assistant manager at Family Foods and lastly at the Richlieu dressing factory. He lived in Vinton before moving to Grundy Center about 20 years ago.

Mark enjoyed playing pool and spending time with his daughter. He was a very loving and kind person and will be missed by all who knew him.  

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bertha Pohlmann, of Vinton and his brother, Mike Pohlmann, of Garrison.  

He is survived by his daughter, Morgan Pohlmann; his brothers, Edward and Steven (Sandy) Pohlmann and many nieces and nephews. 

Memorials can be made out to Marte Pohlmann and will be collected for Mark’s daughter, Morgan.
