New location announced for GC Farmer's Market

Farmer’s market season is almost upon us, and this year, the Grundy Center Farmer’s Market will have a new location at Brother’s Market.
 
Vendors will be set up in the parking lot on Thursday evenings from May 30th through September 16th, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
 
Shari Sell-Bakker, who’s in charge of the Farmer’s Market committee, says the committee decided to partner with Brother’s Market to hold the weekly farmer’s market in the grocery store parking lot to create a more convenient, family shopping experience for market-goers.
 
“After several years of holding the Grundy Center Farmers Market downtown, both vendors and community members have expressed interest in trying something new to encourage not only new vendors, but easier access to the market,” Bakker said. “We also heard from attendees that they would love a way to stop and grab supper for the entire family while they were at the market.  What better way to do that than by partnering with another local small business like Brothers Market to bring a more convenient, one stop shopping experience for residents.”
