GCHS kicks off Homecoming Week with Sunday festivities

GRUNDY CENTER – Members of the community came out in droves to show their Spartan pride during the Sunday evening pep rally on the courthouse lawn.
Among the festivities that evening was the parade, a Chalk the Walk event and the 2016 Homecoming Court announcement.
This year’s King and Queen candidates are: Bryce Flater, Chase Boren, Eli Harberts, Jared Krausman, Jasani Whitehead, Alexa Strickler, Allyson Grimm, Katie Cole, Reagan Derrick and Tiana Saak.
The coronation will take place at the high school gym at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 22.
The Homecoming game against the West Hancock Eagles is at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 23.
The Grundy Center Community School District encourages the public to come out and cheer on the Spartan boys as they ‘Cage the Eagles’ at the Friday night Homecoming game.
